The largest natural swimming pool in Spain is in Madrid and already has an opening date for the 2025 season. It is the Riosequillo pool, located in Buitrago de Lozoya, at the foot of the Sierra de Guadarrama and next to the reservoir that gives it its name. This spectacular aquatic space has a water surface of 4,500 square meters, capacity for more than 2,300 people and privileged views of the mountains and the natural environment of the reservoir.
The Riosequillo pool opens its doors this year from June 24 to August 31, making it one of the favorite destinations for those looking to cool off without leaving the Community of Madrid. The recreational area includes, in addition to the large natural pool, two other pools (one for children and one for adults), as well as garden areas, picnic areas, a bar-restaurant and a playground.
Tickets are available at the ticket office: 9 euros on weekdays (6 euros reduced rate) and 14 euros on weekends and holidays (10 euros reduced rate), one euro more than last year.
On weekends there are usually organized sports activities, workshops for children, soccer and basketball tournaments, which makes the visit a perfect plan for families and groups of friends.
