With the final end of the average temperatures and having already taken the comforter out of the closet, Pinto begins to talk about stews. The most awaited gastronomic appointment of the municipality returns this year between 7 and 9 November, with a new edition of the Ruta del Puchero, an event that combines culinary tradition, citizen participation and promotion of local commerce.
The initiative, promoted by the City of Pinto through the Department of Entrepreneurship and Tourism, allows bars and restaurants in the municipality compete to develop the best spoon tapa. As every year, the proposal must be served in a casserole, stew or casserole, thus maintaining the homemade and comforting essence that defines this contest.
Tapa at 2 euros, QR to vote and prizes of up to 500 euros.
Each establishment will be able to register until October 20, proposing a tapa free in ingredients, but compulsorily presented in a traditional container. In addition, they must provide the name of the tapa, the main ingredients and possible allergens.
One of the great novelties of this edition is the introduction of a face-to-face voting, which will complement the digital system through the PintoKM0 application. Thus, 70% of the score will come from the vote by QR code, while the remaining 30% will be obtained from the direct assessment in the local, thus collecting a request from the hoteliers after previous editions.
The tapa will have a single price of 2 euros and will be served in a recommended schedule: Friday from 19:00 to 23:00 hours, Saturday in two shifts (from 12:00 to 16:00 and from 19:00 to 23:00) and Sunday until 21:00 hours. The objective is to facilitate that the greatest number of neighbors can participate and taste the different proposals.
The establishments that obtain the best score will receive a commemorative plaque and economic prizes: 500 euros for first place, 350 euros for second place and 200 euros for third place.
There is also a prize for the public
In addition to the recognition of the restaurateurs, the public who participate in the voting may also be rewarded. All those who rate at least three different tapas will automatically enter the draw for 20 coupons of 30 euros, redeemable at participating establishments until December 15, 2025. A way to encourage local consumption beyond the one-time event.
To finalize details, the Councilor for Tourism, Victor Alonso, has convened an information meeting with participants on November 5. At this meeting, doubts will be resolved and the necessary material will be handed out, such as the static QR codes that must be placed in a visible place in each establishment.
