More people than on the Royal Theater -with capacity for 1,746 spectators. To understand the dimension of the Riosequillo pools, a good approach is a comparison. If the Teatro Real has capacity for the aforementioned number, these pools can hold two thousand people (slightly more, in fact, around 2,305).
Last year, the Community of Madrid reopened these pools, one of the largest in Spain. The Riosequillo swimming pool was inaugurated in 1993 and the reforms -carried out by the regional Executive through the Canal Isabel II- that were applied two years ago kept it closed for quite some time in the aforementioned. Its opening this year will take place on Friday, June 14.
