The monumental palace located on Princesa Street will open access to its private green spaces from May 14 through August 31, 2026. The Casa de Alba Foundation will organize tours to showcase the landscape and botanical evolution of this central area of the capital.
Architects and designers such as Ventura Rodríguez, Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier, and Francesco Sabatini have contributed to the development of these grounds over the centuries. The temporary opening will provide access to an area that is usually off-limits, with explanations of the different plant species and the architectural structure of the site.
The tours will take place in the morning. From Tuesday to Friday, tours will be at 10:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., while on weekends, entry will be at 10:00 a.m. The organization has limited capacity to a maximum of 30 people per group.
Attendees can choose between two options. The ticket for the gardens alone costs 10 euros. Those who prefer to include the interior of the palace and its art gallery will pay 25 euros. This combined ticket provides access to the collection of works by artists such as Velázquez, Goya, Titian, and Rubens.
Temporary exhibition by José María Sicilia

Those who purchase the full pass will also be able to view the contemporary art exhibition Nights and Days, on view through May 31. Madrid-based artist José María Sicilia has installed some twenty pieces in rooms such as the Library, the Grand Duke’s Hall, and the Ballroom.
The works are designed to establish a visual connection with the architecture and the legacy of the Casa de Alba’s historical collection. This initiative marks the foundation’s second contemporary art series following last year’s exhibition by Joana Vasconcelos.
