Vallecas has a unique identity marked by social demands. Its festivities, among the oldest in Madrid, reinforce its sense of community. That is why here, in 2025, the District Board has approved thirteen celebrations between April and November, ranging from San Isidro to the Fiestas Populares del Orgullo Vallecano.
Spring: from the Pozo festivities to those of Fontarrón
The first spring festivities in Vallecas will be those of El Pozo, which will be organized between April 30 and May 11. Shortly after, on May 15, as in the rest of Madrid capital, San Isidro will be celebrated with costumes, glazed donut stands (or not, to the taste of the consumer) and music for the whole family.
From May 23rd the Fontarrón festivities will begin, which will bring activities every weekend until July. From May 30 to June 8, two parallel festivities will begin: the Vallecano Pride and Doña Karloto.
Summer: neighborhood festivals and Batalla Naval (Battleship)
June will be the month of festivities in Vallecas. From June 6 to 29, four neighborhood parties will be held: Nuevas Palomeras, Entrevías, Palomeras Bajas and Madrid Sur. All of them will be the preparation for the big dates of the district: the Fiestas del Carmen, from July 6 to 20, and the 43rd edition of the Batalla Naval de Vallecas, on July 20 (confirmed by the Cofradía Marinera).
