Given the severe housing crisis in the Madrid region, any measure that opens up an opportunity to purchase a home at an affordable price attracts attention, even if, as in this case, the opportunity is very limited.
The seven municipal homes that Alcobendas will put up for public auction are now open for viewing. From Tuesday , September 8, through September 17, interested parties may tour the properties before submitting a bid; the bidding period will remain open until September 28.
The apartments have between two and four bedrooms, with floor areas ranging from 53 to 81 square meters and starting prices ranging from 118,841 to 179,570 euros, including VAT. They are located on Olivar, Calderón de la Barca, Luis Rodríguez Ontiveros, and Manuel de Falla streets.
When to Visit and How to Apply

Viewings will take place on the dates indicated above, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This is the only time available to view the apartments before participating in the auction.
To register or request information about the process, the City Council refers interested parties to SOGEPIMA, the Alcobendas Municipal Real Estate Management Society, which has a physical office (Avenida de Bruselas, 16) and is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. You can also contact them by phone (91 654 76 11) or by email at sogepima@alcobendas.org.
It is advisable to check with the agency to see if an appointment is required for a specific property, as viewings are concentrated within a limited time frame and the properties are located on different streets throughout the municipality.
The deadline for submitting bids is September 28. Bids may be submitted in two ways:
- In person, at the General Registry of the Alcobendas City Council, located in the Plaza Mayor.
- Online, through the municipal e-government portal.
Each interested person may submit only one bid. The call for bids, the terms of the procedure, and the required documentation are available on the City Council’s Contracting Profile, the Public Sector Procurement Platform, the municipal bulletin board, and the City Council’s website.
Post-purchase conditions
The homes must be used as a primary and permanent residence. The successful bidder will have a maximum of six months from the signing of the public deed of sale to actually move into the property.
Furthermore, for five years following the purchase, the property may not be rented or sold without authorization from the City Council. Nor may it be used for tourist lodging, room rentals, commercial activities, or any purpose other than as a primary residence.
