The Mercado de Motores returns this weekend with a new edition full of gastronomy, music and vintage fashion. More than 150 artisans, booksellers, designers, artists and gourmet product vendors gather at this fair on the second Saturday and Sunday of each month.
The event is held at the Railway Museum of Madrid, next to the Delicias station, where the different stalls are distributed among historic train cars. Admission is free and there is also an outdoor area with drink bars , food trucks and live musical performances.
Beyond shopping and food, several workshops have been organized for all ages, ranging from cheese tasting to construction with Lego pieces or science activities. The market can be visited on November 8 and 9, from 11:00 to 21:00 hours and it is necessary to reserve a ticket.
From gourmet to second hand

Private sellers and professionals with their own brands share space at the Mercado de Motores. In the covered area of the old Delicias station, now the Railway Museum, are the most specialized stalls: artisan products such as nougat, perfumes or honey; bookstores promoting their new products; artists and handmade accessories, among many others.
In the outdoor area there is a small version of the Madrid flea market, with second-hand products and antiques with which to travel back in time. Highlights include vintage fashion stalls, old comics, vinyls, decorative pieces and even old cameras .
Also in the open air are the different food trucks, with a wide gastronomic offer that covers almost all audiences. You can find hamburgers, croquettes, tacos, hot dogs, Lebanese rolls, oriental food, Portuguese pastries and vegan options.
