Early Thursday morning, the people of Madrid saw waves in the Manzanares, ducks in unexpected places and roads cut off by the Martinho squall. Ten days to go before the end of the month and it has already broken records in rainfall: it is being the March with more rainfall in the last 130 years in the capital. This week began with thunderstorms and will end the same way, and the question we are all asking ourselves is: when will it stop raining?
The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) records in its forecast for the next seven days a slowdown of rainy episodes between Tuesday, March 25 and Wednesday, March 26. The chances of rain will drop from 40% to 5%, giving a little hope that the sun will peek through the clouds. In addition, the AEMET forecasts slightly higher temperatures on Tuesday: there could be up to 15 degrees maximum and 5 degrees minimum.
Will there be another squall after Tuesday?

Although it is not known if there will be another squall after Tuesday, the AEMET has recorded mild temperatures until Thursday 27, a day in which maximum temperatures of 17 degrees and partly clear skies from 11:00 am are estimated.
Recommendations from the authorities today
Today, Friday, March 21, the Madrid City Council has asked citizens to “limit as much as possible the circulation in private vehicles” as a preventive measure against possible floods. It is recommended not to make trips that are not necessary until Tuesday and keep informed about the effects of the storm through official sources such as the Directorate General of Traffic.
