The Cines Embajadores movie theatersin Madrid bring stories from the screen to life. In their new series, Pastelerías de Barrio, they will screen films related to the world of pastry and also introduce several pastry chefs from Madrid.
Sweets will be the focus of all the feature films, which will be followed by discussions involving different local businesses. The program will begin on February 16 at 7:30 p.m. and will continue for the following four Mondays at the same time.
The cinema building is located at Glorieta de Santa María de la Cabeza, 5, in the Arganzuela district, and tickets cost around €7. They can be purchased at the box office or on the website, and all screenings will be in the original version with Spanish subtitles.
European and Japanese cinema

Since its inception, Cines Embajadores has always been committed to auteur films, independent and European works. In this series, they are continuing in the same vein, with one Japanese film, one French film, and three British productions.
Next Monday , you can see A Pastry Shop in Tokyo, by Japanese director Naomi Kawase. It shows the relationship between the owner of a dorayaki shop and an elderly woman who offers to help him make them. Little by little, they see how the business prospers and their friendship and trustgrow .
After the film, there will be a discussion led by La magdalena de Proust,a bakery that maintains the tradition of village breads and homemade products. It has two locations in Madrid where it also offers options for breakfast, brunch , or simply a snack.
A very sweet program

The rest of the films and venues participating in the rest of the event, which will take place on Mondays from February 23 to March 16, have already been announced.
The program will be as follows:
- February 23: Repostero y Chef, in collaboration with Pan Dome (Calle Martín de Vargas, 6).
- March 2: The Best Recipe, in collaboration with Longinos (Paseo de las Delicias, 52).
- March 9: Chocolat, in collaboration with Sorianita (Glorieta Sta. María de la Cabeza, 9).
- March 16: A Pastry Shop in Notting Hill, in collaboration with Motteau Pastelería (Calle de San Pedro, 9).
