Other scheduled activities: theater, exhibitions, and parades
According to a statement released by the Community of Madrid, Hispanidad 2026 will bring to the region “more than 200 events featuring music, film, art, heritage, and folklore at nearly 70 venues.” In addition to musical performances, these events include theatrical productions, dance performances, lectures, and exhibitions.
Among the events, highlights include, for example, “Nascencia,” a contemporary dance suite performed by the Ballet Español de la Comunidad de Madrid, which can be seen at Teatros del Canal for €9, and the Madrid International Contemporary Music Festival, which will also be held at Teatros del Canal.
There will also be parades, a circus, and giant figures and big-headed characters ( designed especially for children) in the Gardens of the Vista Alegre Palace and Santander Park. The complete schedule of planned activities and events (including times and prices) can be found on the Hispanidad 2026 website .
Last year, Argentina was the guest country at the celebration, while in 2026 it will be the United States, which will play a significant role in the festivities ( having joined for the first time in 2025), both in the annual parade held on Gran Vía and in the rest of the program of concerts and cultural activities of various kinds planned for Hispanic Heritage Day 2026.
