Voyeurism has always been in fashion and the activity that takes place this weekend in the district of Usera supports a good news for whoever more wrong than right is defined as a gossip. The fourth edition of the open doors that shows the studios and workshops of the artists who create their work in the neighborhood of Usera returns to Madrid.
The action will take place on Saturday, June 1 from 11am to 7pm and is being carried out “to showcase the creativity and talent that takes place in Madrid” as well as to “foster a greater connection between artists and the community living in Usera,” according to a statement on the matter.
A total of 16 studios and more than 50 artists will be on display. Some artists share a studio or workshop. Such is the case of Arco Azul (Calle de la Pilarica, 87), which hosts up to eight artists.
One of the most popular studios to visit is Factory of Dreams (Carmen Bruguera, 8), founded by Okuda San Miguel, which we told you about in this article n this article and where Didi Leona also stays.
This window to other people’s work (with live demonstrations or the possibility of chatting with artists) also reflects different art disciplines such as painting, sculpture, photography, video art or installations.
This event open to all ages is organized by Artistas de Usera, a group of creators that boasts of giving voice to the diverse narratives that make up the rich human tapestry of the district.
