In an interview, Fernando Alonso explained that when you are a child and you get into a go-kart you feel for the first time that you don’t have to obey your parents or teachers: it’s you with the car and you just want to go as fast as possible. Fortunately for his competitors, there is only one Fernando Alonso, but that doesn’t mean that everyone else is not can enjoy i would like to enjoy, from time to time, a bit of speed and that feeling of freedom on a good karting track.
For that, we have made this compilation of 10 of the best karting circuits in Madrid, including outdoors, indoors, in the center and in the middle of nature.
The best mixed karting tracks in Madrid
1. Karting Carlos Sainz Center
We have just started and we have already cheated (or rather, we have done a favor): this karting circuit has an indoortrack but also an outdoortrack. And it also has a quasi-nostalgic factor: both the Carlos Sainz Karting Center and the entire complex in which it is located (La Ermita Shopping Center) will be demolished sometime in 2023. So this is the time to try it, to step on the gas and enjoy one of the best go-karting in Madrid.
The indoor track is characterized by two almost similar hard brakings and a curved finishing straight. The outdoor track has a very fast first part of the circuit and a second part with several chicanes. Both layouts, together, make it a somewhat unusual rarity in Amateur Karting. According to the comments of users who have raced on this circuit, it is one of the best indoor karts in Europe.
One (last) opportunity to be part of the history of karting in our country before demolition. Fortunately, and almost as a cosmic compensation, in March 2023, IFEMA will open its doors in first official Formula 1® exhibition in the world the perfect occasion for lovers of speed, technology and the history of racing and racing drivers who, like Carlos Sainz Jr., started out on a karting track before conquering the podiums of F1®.
