
The bad thing about seasonal products is that there are generally more months of the year in which they cannot be consumed than in which they can. And the good thing, of course, is the counterpart: the months in which they can be enjoyed. And one of those products par excellence are the calçots, which every year at this time of the year turns on all our alerts.
And although there are few bars in Madrid that offer this opportunity to eat them (we have some of them collected in this article, by the way), there are more and more locals who join the fashion, equation or season. And one of them is the reference burger Juancho’s BBQ, so many times winner of the best burger in Spain.
Calçots and beef: the complete combi
At Juancho’s BBQ, in addition to being famous for treating meat with care and excellence, they have decided to pay tribute to calçots during February. And if they treat meat this well, imagine how they take care of vegetables.
In their Calçot Days, which take place from Monday to Thursday, there are two options:
- Calçots Option (14,90 €): 9 or 10 calçots accompanied by their inseparable romesco sauce.
- Option Calçotada Completa (32,90 €): includes a portion of calçots, Iberian feather, romesco sauce and potatoes.
In addition, Juancho’s promises special details to enhance the experience: starting next week, they will have personalized bibs for these days.
