After the big parade and Gloria Estefan’s concert last Sunday, the Hispanidad concerts in Madrid continue in the main squares of the capital. In this case it will be the Plaza Mayor which will host this Thursday, October 9, at 21:30 h a free concert of Los Estanques and El Canijo de Jerez, two references of Spanish pop and mestizaje that will share the stage outdoors in the heart of the city.
To attend the concert of Los Estanques and El Canijo de Jerez, which is part of their tour Estamos listos para pelear, it is not necessary to book a ticket: access will be free until full capacity is reached.
The Hispanidad concerts in Madrid
The concert is part of the extensive program of Hispanidad 2025, which from October 3 to 12 transforms Madrid into a large stage with more than 30 free performances spread between Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Plaza de España and other venues.
Los Estanques, known for their retro sound and sophisticated arrangements, will join forces with the flamenco and festive energy of El Canijo de Jerez to offer a unique live performance, full of melodies, recognizable lyrics and nods to Spanish popular culture.
The event, which joins the multicultural parade on Gran Vía and other outstanding concerts (Miranda! Babasónicos, on October 10, or Bomba Estéreo on the 12th), is a good opportunity to celebrate the musical diversity and festive hustle and bustle that characterizes Hispanidad in Madrid. We recommend arriving early to get a seat and experience the special atmosphere of a night of free music in the Plaza Mayor.
