Torrejón de Ardoz celebrates from tomorrow until Sunday its patron saint festivities. There will be three days -4, 5 and 6 October- during which the municipality will host various activities in a program that ranges from parades of giants and big heads to a mascletá. However, one of the most anticipated events will be the musical, as Torrejón will host free concerts this weekend.
The big names on the bill are the Gipsy Kings and Azúcar Moreno, who will perform in the town’s Plaza Mayor. And they will be joined by the DJs who will star in the new Moonkey Party-Joven, designed for the most current audience: Alvama Ice and Michenlo and locals Jorge Vaquero, Lollipop, Togi, Omar The Kid, Xema Fuentes and Raul Sanchez.
Admission to the party is free until full capacity and there will be food and drink at popular prices: water at 1 €, soft drinks at 2.50 €, hot dogs at 3 € and sandwiches at 4 €.
When are the free concerts in Torrejón?
The performances of Azúcar Moreno and Gipsy Kings will be at 10 pm on Friday and Saturday, respectively, while the performances of the DJs will be from 10 pm in the Plaza de Toros on the same days.
The program, as we said, goes beyond music and includes the IX Encuentro de Gigantes y Cabezudos -the largest in the Community of Madrid-, an open day at the Automobile Museum, the aforementioned mascletá (in the Plaza Mayor), dances, distribution of sweets, fireworks and even a mus marathon, to mention just some of the proposals.
