Madrid has already begun to unveil the musical lineup for the 2026 San Isidro festivities, and the first confirmations set the bar high: Los Chunguitos, La Bien Querida, and Triángulo de Amor Bizarro will headline some of this year’s major free concerts. These are just the first names in a lineup that the City Council will present in full in the coming days, but they’re enough to give a sense of the direction the patron saint festival’s soundtrack will take.
Los Chunguitos will return to the Pradera de San Isidro on May 15, the festival’s main day, with a concert scheduled for 10:30 p.m. that is shaping up to be one of the highlights of the program. This isn’t the first time the legendary rumba group has taken the stage at this festival; they did so in 2019, when they filled the meadow with people of all ages singing along to classics like “Me quedo contigo,” “Carmen, Carmen,” and “Dame veneno.”
La Bien Querida and Triángulo de Amor Bizarro: free indie music in the city center

On Saturday, May 16, it will be the turn of two key names in the national indie scene: Triángulo de Amor Bizarro and La Bien Querida will take over from Los Chunguitos at the festivities, with free concerts at Las Vistillas and the Plaza Mayor, respectively. Although the City Council has not yet published the specific schedules, it has confirmed the venues: the Galician band Triángulo de Amor Bizarro will unleash their wall of guitars and noise on the Las Vistillas stage, while La Bien Querida will bring their romantic and electronic pop to the heart of the city, in the Plaza Mayor.
All concerts announced so far will be free and open to the public until capacity is reached, following the tradition of previous years, in which the City Council has put together a lineup that blends Madrid folklore, urban music, rock, pop, and family-friendly events from May 8 to 15. No further details about the rest of the lineup are available at this time, but the City Council has announced that it will present the full schedule of concerts and cultural activities next Monday, May 4.
Although only three names have been announced so far, based on previous years’ experience, we can expect the lineup to be rounded out with a long list of concerts at other venues such as Matadero Madrid, Conde Duque, and San Isidro Park, in addition to folk performances, open-air festivals, the Rock Villa de Madrid Awards, and activities specifically for children.
