The fever or bubble of live music has in free concerts its most faithful Reflection. The President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, presented the Program of the new edition of the recently created Hispanic week and the event included, among many others, the Colombian singer Manuel Turizo.
Turizo will take over from artists (and fellow countrymen) like Camilo o Carlos Vives who in 2022 and 2023 respectively also performed at the Puerta de Alcalá in the context of the celebration of this same event.
It is expected to be a massive concert for which there is no definite date yet (between October 4 and 13). Manuel Turizo is the author of the second most played Latin solo song in the history of Spotify: Bachata. And also of other big hits like El Merengue -along with Marshmello.
More than one hundred activities

La Hispanidad is a new celebration created by the current regional government that defines itself as “the largest cultural event in Spanish” and involves an expenditure of around four million euros. This budget line includes some one hundred activities, mainly concerts.
There will be a total of six stages spread throughout the city: Plaza Mayor, La Remonta, Callao, Puerta del Sol, Puerta de Alcalá and Matadero. They will feature international artists such as Diego Guerrero, Fruko y sus tesos, Grupo Extra, Javiera Mena and La Yegros, and national artists such as El Búho, Rocío Márquez y Bronquio and Kumbia Boruka.
The guest country at this year’s edition is Mexico and this year’s slogan is once again “All accents fit in Madrid”.
