In Griñón, a municipality in the southwest of the Community of Madrid, just 30 kilometers from the capital, there is a supermarket that is gaining presence in social networks: Supermercados MercaMax (Calle de los Labradores, 71), which has turned low prices and offers into its hallmark.
Not in vain the claim with which it advertises reads as follows: “Discover the best deals on food. Feed your pocket and your palate! In #MercaMax, quality at unbeatable prices”. Offers that translate, for example, in that for the purchase of a wedge of cheese you get a bottle of wine.
As they have published just a couple of days ago in their networks, they are giving away to customers who buy a wedge of Montelarreina Gran Reserva sheep cheese (€6.99) or Montelarreina Edición Limitada sheep cheese (€7.99) with a bottle of Viña Albali Crianza wine.
Another of the prices that are attracting the most attention in social networks is that of some pieces of fruit: they sell a unit of yellow melon or piel de sapo for €1 and a unit of striped watermelon for €0.75.
Customer reviews on Google

On Google Supermercados MercaMax currently has a score of 3.8 out of five stars based on 100 reviews. If we filter them by those referring to prices, customers generally indicate that they do find products cheaper than in other supermarkets.
Of those 22 reviews, there are only two or three that go in the opposite direction: “If you’re in the area, it’s good, but if you live further away, it’s not worth it,” says one customer. At the moment, the supermarket is only present in Madrid and does not deliver to homes.

There are supermarkets like Medina 3 that stand out for other reasons, in their case offering XXL products: they sell from assortments of chewing gum, candies and sweets to items for parties and events. You can find more information in this article.
