To the holiday destinations to consider for this summer, we have to add one more from June 24, 2025: it is a new direct flight from Madrid to the island of Mauritius, in the south of the African continent.
The route will be operated by World2Fly together with Iberia and the departure frequency from Madrid will be weekly on Tuesdays. And it has been, according to the media Deia, the place chosen by the soccer player Nico Williams to spend his vacations.
In addition, according to World2Fly’s website, there are connections from different Spanish airports in Madrid’s T4 with direct check-in to the final destination.
How much does this new direct flight cost?
Checking on the airline’s website, there is an offer with limited seats for 389€ each way buying a round trip ticket.
How long is the flight?
The direct flight Madrid-Mauritius lasts approximately 10 hours and 30 minutes. To liven up the flight, the airplane has entertainment and the airline also highlights the comfort of the seats.
What to see in Mauritius?
In a video posted on their social networks, one of the flight attendants recommends Le Morne (ideal for climbing enthusiasts), Deer Island and the Land of Seven Colors as essential stops.
Footballers and business
There are more than a few soccer players who, off the field, have entered the world of business: in the hotel and catering business, restaurants such as Tora or Bombastic bear the names of Marcos Llorente, Ibai Gómez, Marco Asensio and Mario Hermoso, respectively.
The acquisition of Manolo Bakes by Morata, the opening of Cristiano Ronaldo’s hotel or the installation of Sergio Ramos’s gymnasium in an interchange in the capital have also been very well known.
