1808 but in the middle of 2025: Aranjuez will go back in time to the most famous episode of its history with the celebration, one more year, of the Motín de Aranjuez Festivities -declared of International Tourist Interest-. On this occasion, the festivities will take place from September 4 to 7.
One of the main activities of the program will be, of course, the staging of the Mutiny of Aranjuez in the Plaza de Parejas on Saturday, September 6 at 10 pm by the hand of YLLANA and with the collaboration of National Heritage.
The day before, on Friday, September 5 at 9:30 pm, the same company will stage the assault on Godoy’s house. The tour will begin in the Plaza de la Constitución and both the mutineers and the public who want to join them will walk along Stuart and Príncipe streets, where this historic event of 1808 will be represented.

Beyond the historical recreations, the program of the Festival of the Mutiny of Aranjuez is completed with very diverse proposals ranging from a Goyaesque market to a popular paella, a Goyaesque tomato fair enlivened with parades and musical performances such as OBK or Isabel Aaiún.
Also on Sunday, September 7 at 11 am, a new edition of the mythical Descent of the Tagus Pirate, one of the most curious festivals throughout the Community of Madrid. The complete program of the festivities can be consulted in this document.

If you are planning to come to the festivities, the City Council advises you to avoid entering Aranjuez from 5 pm through the Puente de Barcas. Instead, you can opt for one of these options:
- A-4 PK – 47 by the Paseo del Deleite towards Rey Street.
- A-4 PK – 47 by the Toledo road towards San Antonio street.
Free concerts at the Móstoles festivities

This Friday will also start the festivities in honor of the Virgen de los Santos, in Mostoles, which will last until the 15th and have in its program with free concerts by artists such as David Bustamante, Estrella Morente or Ivan Ferreiro. You can find more information in this article.
