Museums, neighbors and all kinds of public and private institutions join hands this May 18 in Alcalá de Henares to celebrate the Noche en Blanco, an event that had not been held for ten years and that coincides with the Night of the Museums.
Alcalá de Henares, in this way, will become a sort of cultural mall where there will be activities of a thousand (or a hundred) types ranging from magic to games, from theater to guided tours, including conferences.
The monuments and museums will be open until midnight and in the meantime, the shop windows of the participating businesses will compete for having designed the best window display in the city.
The mayor of the city of Complutense, Judith Piquet, said that “the Noche en Blanco is a celebration of the city and its citizens. And so our gratitude to all the associations, institutions, businesses and individuals who have committed to this event and who have given it the popular, open and multidisciplinary vision that we want it to have”.
