Low-cost chains are growing and multiplying in Madrid. Now it is the Danish store Normal, which could have the epithet of “Primark of makeup” for its low prices, which opens a new store in the region on June 17. The opening will be in the H2O shopping center in Rivas-Vaciamadrid. This opening reinforces Normal’s presence in the Community of Madrid, where it already has several stores and long queues at each opening.
Normal has gone viral for its concept of “normal products at abnormal prices”, offering everything from makeup, personal care and home care to snacks, stationery and small household appliances, always from well-known brands such as Dove, L’Oréal, Garnier, Gilletto or Schwarzkopf, among others.
The store stands out for renewing its assortment every week, incorporating up to 100 new products and adapting to market trends, without relying on sales or special offers: prices are fixed and very competitive all year round.
The new Normal store in H2O will celebrate its opening with games, raffles and gift bags for the first customers, and joins a network of more than 900 stores in Europe, with a community of more than 140,000 followers on social networks.
Lefties Home: the cheap alternative to Zara Home in Madrid
Another low cost store that has just opened is Lefties Home. This is the new decoration line of Inditex’s most affordable brand. It has opened in the Parquesur shopping center in Leganés and is already the second largest in Spain. Its proposal revolutionizes the concept of accessible decoration with a huge variety of products for the home: tableware, textiles, blankets, candles, frames, books, soaps and more, all with current design and low prices.
The collection covers dining room, kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom and fragrances, with a warm, Mediterranean aesthetic. The prices do not reach those of Primark, but they are more affordable than those of Zara Home. The store stands out for its spaciousness and details such as a tubular slide in the center, and already allows online shopping from Spain, Portugal and Italy.
