Although the forecasts of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) for the Community of Madrid only contemplate precipitation in the form of snow in some points in the north of the region, that will not prevent that within the M-30 can be seen snow this Christmas in the capital.
As every year on time for these special dates, the Matadero Madrid square (Plaza de Legazpi, 8) will once again become a typical -and stereotypically- Christmas landscape thanks to the fall of artificial snow. This free show will take place from December 20, 2025 to January 4, 2026.
The snow will be visible between 6 pm and 8 pm, adding an extra touch of charm and Christmas spirit to a scene that can be enjoyed by those who stroll through the area or attend one of the center’s activities, as well as by skaters who are at the center’s traditional outdoor ice rink during those hours.
Christmas closure days
Matadero Madrid will be closed on December 24, 25 and 31, 2025 and January 1, 2026.
Matadero’s Christmas 2025 program
Matadero Madrid repeats one more edition as one of the central axes of the Christmas programming of the capital with its traditional Christmas of Encounter program, which this 2025 brings new features and begins “a new stage in which in each edition will be the protagonist and will articulate the programming an artistic and cultural manifestation“.
Inaugurates this stage as a central axis the word and, therefore, literature, so they will have a special weight proposals around “stories, characters and stories that have shaped the Christmas imaginary”.
Among them, the object theater of Christmas Carol Encapsulating Dickens, the exhibition of Christmas classics of yesterday and today or oral storytelling shows as RECORDIS, back to the heart.
