In the last decades, more than 44 cinemas have disappeared in Madrid. However, the tradition of watching a movie on a giant screen on the day of its premiere is still a tradition for moviegoers in the capital. One of the best cinemas in the city to do so is the Embajadores (glorieta de Santa María de la Cabeza, 5). Here, only during Saturday, November 23, solidarity movie tickets will be sold to help those affected by the DANA in Valencia. They will cost 5€ and can be purchased online through this link.
What films can be seen with the solidarity tickets?
With the solidarity movie tickets you will be able to see -onlyin the morning hours- four great premieres of this year: Elli and the Monster Team, The Red Virgin, Guardians at the Opera and Marco. “We want to do our bit for the territories affected by the storm and we do it as we know best, through culture and cinema,” explains the Cines Embajadores team via Instagram.
Elástica Films, BTEAM Pictures, Flins y Pinículas and VERCINE are collaborating in the solidarity initiative. These four Spanish companies are supported by Europa Creative Media, a program that promotes the production and distribution of European cinema.

More initiatives to help Valencia from Madrid
In Madrid there have been all kinds of projects to help the victims of the floods in the Valencian Community: solidarity concerts, massive collections of supplies, fundraisers in bars and street markets…. In December some of them will continue and, of course, new ones will be organized, such as Madrid corre por Valencia (Madrid runs for Valencia).
