After a week of truce, the clouds return to cover the sky of Madrid. After Martinho comes the Nuria squall, which will bring widespread rainfall across the country from Wednesday 2 to Saturday 5 April.
Forecast from the arrival of Nuria
According to eltiempo.es sources, “in many areas of the peninsular center – including Madrid – there may be heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms”. However, temperatures will be stable, with minimum temperatures slightly higher than in previous weeks: around 8 and 10 degrees. Highs, in keeping with spring weather, will be around 20 degrees.
On Wednesday, from 12:00 to 18:00 hours, there is a 90% chance of rain. The weather will remain unstable, with spells of sun and rain, until Thursday, a day when it will rain practically from dawn to dusk according to forecasts. For the weekend, cloudy skies and precipitation are expected on Saturday. The weather will not improve until Sunday, the day that will put an end (or so it is expected) to the Nuria squall.
The worst March in Madrid’s recent history
The rain returns after the rainiest March in Madrid’s recent history, in which we have seen reservoirs at more than 85% of their capacity, rivers almost overflowing and ducks in unsuspected places. Although the worst is over, precipitation and unstable weather are expected during April, also at Easter.
