This year Easter is delayed until April 14, and the question most of us are asking ourselves after the passage of the Martinho squall is: will it rain during the vacations? Both the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) and meteorologist Mar Gómez estimate that there will be “slightly above normal rainfall” in Madrid.
Mild temperatures and chances of rain
A report from eltiempo.es has confirmed that there will be an 80% chance of rain during the holidays. This does not imply constant precipitation, but intermittent showers during the week.
The report also reveals that maximum temperatures could range between 18 degrees and 22 °C ( with peaks of up to 24ºC on the hottest days) both in Madrid and in other areas of central Spain. A pleasant weather typical of spring, which would allow to enjoy the many processions that will fill the streets this year.
The weather before April
The week from March 17 to 23 left half of Spain on yellow alert for rain, and reservoirs at more than 80% of their capacity. Fortunately, the worst is over: the AEMET has predicted that the next ten days there will be clear skies and highs that will exceed 20 degrees.
