Normality is gradually returning to Madrid after the historic blackout that took place this Monday 28 April at midday. As far as transport is concerned, one of the questions that regular users of the service have been asking since yesterday is when the Madrid metro service will be back in operation.
The answer was given this morning by the company: at 8 a.m. this morning the seals preventing access to the capital’s metro network were lifted and the underground service has resumed throughout the network, except for Line 7A.
Metro de Madrid has indicated that 80% of the trains of a normal tomorrow’s rush hour (240) will run. As for the status of Line 7A, they will continue to report its status promptly through their official channels.
