Holy Week 2026 in Madrid is gearing up for its three central days (known as the Easter Triduum): Holy Thursday (April 2), Good Friday (April 3), and Holy Saturday (April 4). And on that first day, some of the most notable processions of these days will take place.
This is the case with the processions of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno “El Pobre,” El Divino Cautivo, and Nuestro Padre Jesús del Gran Poder and María Santísima de la Esperanza Macarena. In two of them, moreover, you can witness the singing of saetas from the balconies, another hallmark of these religious events.
These processions will not only take place in the center of Madrid but can also be seen in districts such as Villaverde and Barajas.
