Geoglobal advances simultaneously shorten and widen the world. The most popular businesses in their respective countries (such as Neapolitan restaurant L’Antica Pizzeria di Michele which will open a new store in September in the neighborhood of Salamanca) arrive in new cities in other countries to create the illusion of traveling to such and such a place without taking a plane.
The last place or the next country to travel to without going to the airport, then, is the United States thanks to the popular Krispy Kreme doughnut brand. The North American firm has signed an alliance with the Glaseadas Originales brand -created eight months ago and dedicated to the retail trade of bread and bakery products- to land in Spain in a big way.
Krispy Kreme’s expansion
The meaning of big in this case refers to the creation of more than five hundred access positions in large cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Malaga. About the place where the brand will open in Madrid has not yet transcended the location. Krispy Kreme’s expansion, by the way, is something relatively recent since they have reached France, Switzerland, Turkey or Chile since 2022 -they are in more than 35 countries.
Commenting on the expansion, Raphael Duvivier, Krispy Kreme’s Chief Development Officer, said, “After a tremendous response in Europe following our successful ticket in France and the announcement to open in Germany, we couldn’t be more excited to bring the Krispy Kreme experience to Spain.”
The successful ticket in France on the other hand, it was conditioned by a generous marketing strategy: more than 100,000 doughnuts were given away in the streets of Paris.
