It had already been rumored for a long time, and after two long years of waiting we can confirm it: Madrid has a new space-themed indoor amusement park. The Babylon Park is located in the Westfield Parquesur shopping center, on Avenida de Gran Bretaña in Leganés.
The entrance to the park is free and you pay for the use of the rides and attractions, which are worth between 1 and 4 euros. The Babylon has its own currency (the Babylon Coins), which can be purchased in packs to have more Coins for less money. Thus, 1 euro can be exchanged for about 10 Babylon Coins and with 12.80 Coins it is possible to ride the strollers or the merry-go-round.
what attractions does Babylon have?
The new park is 1,200 square meters, has 100 arcades and six rides, including a roller coaster, bumper cars, flying chairs, a shuttle and a space cooker. It also has a technological space, with games of Virtual Reality and proposals for all ages.
Among the variety of games of skill that Babylon Park offers, visitors can play air field hockey, laser tag, basketball, boxing and machines where you can win gifts, from giant stuffed animals to coveted Air Jordan sneakers. In addition to these classic attractions, the park features fun dance games that let you compete against another person on a huge light-up board on the floor, or challenge a friend to a Mario Kart race.
The theme is space and futuristic and some of the mascots are Martians from another planet. The whole ambience of the space as well as its attractions are from another galaxy. The Babylon is a new concept of indoor theme park that triumphs elsewhere in the world, such as in London (Babylon Park Camden) or in Belgrade. The one in Leganés is the first Babylon Park in Spain, and it is not ruled out that the offer will be extended in our country.
General Info
Babylon Park can also be rented for events: for example, you can celebrate your birthday in its facilities from 15 euros, a service available for 10 people or more, with a choice of McDonald’s menu, for five euros more, or KFC. The park is open Monday through Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 10: 00 p.m. and from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Fridays and weekends.
Leganés has a wide range of leisure and entertainment options for the youngest members of the family best playground in Spain with wooden castle largest in Europe. It is not surprising, then, that this location has been chosen to offer the city’s new indoor amusement theme park.
