As every summer, Vicálvaro captivates us with the Program of its festivities, which this year is full of novelties. Among them, the fair attractions and proposed activities will reach a neighborhood never before included in the itinerary: El Cañaveral. The festivities will begin on Thursday evening , June 27 and will end on Sunday morning, June 30. From the first day to the last, there will be something for everyone, from theater sessions to DJ nights.
The sounds of the party: from popular to electronic music
The celebration will officially begin on Thursday at 22:00 with the opening speech given by Sergio Fernández, chef and presenter of Escuela Canal Cocina, but before that there will be three musical performances to warm up the atmosphere. First, two Orchestra from Madrid will take the stage: El Madroño y Microcosmos. Afterwards, The Music ShowOrchestra will perform at 8:30 pm. After the proclamation, La Edad de Oro del Pop Español (The Golden Age of Spanish Pop), a band that pays tribute to great Spanish artists from the 80s and 90s, will make us dance with their repertoire a band that pays tribute to great Spanish artists of the 80’s and 90’s, will make us dance with their repertoire.
From Friday 28th onwards, the strongest guest artists will arrive: at 21:30 the band Lobo Negro and at 23:00 Carlos Tarque, founder of the mythical Spanish band M-Clan(Carolina, treat me well…). At 1:15, the rhythm of the party will change with DJ Pulpo, winner of a Silver Antenna in 2023 and announcer of Poniendo las Calles, who will close the night with electronic music tracks. For fans of the Pop genre, on Saturday 29 there will be a star performance: that of Ana Guerra, contestant of OT 2017 who already surprised us with her music at the parties of San Isidro 2024.
Attractions and activities for all ages
The Vicálvaro Fairgrounds will host fairground rides during the morning and afternoon. This year, all the attractions will stay in the neighborhood until July 1, so we will have much more time to enjoy them than other summers. Bumper cars, scalextric and even a witch train are waiting for us to enjoy the holidays like children. And that’s not all: the fun will reach El Cañaveral, which has joined the celebration by installing inflatables for the little ones.
There will also be cultural activities. From dance classes to movie and theater sessions, this holiday season brings us a wide variety of plans ideal for sharing with family and friends.
Contests and fireworks will bring the festival to a close
To put an end to this year’s festivities, on Sunday 30, in addition to performances and lots of orchestra music, there will be contests in the morning and evening, among them the XX Spanish Omelette Contest at 14:00, which will be followed by a popular lunch at 14:30.
The fair will close with a fireworks display that will fill the sky with light and color. The fireworks will start at 00:00 from the Recinto Ferial and will end around 00:20.
