Ever since he won Best Chef in the World (not once, not twice, but three times in a row) at The Best Chef Awards, Dabiz Muñoz hasn’t stopped being in the news. Between the price increase of his restaurant DiverXO and the opening of his atypical restaurant in the Barajas airport, the chef has given a lot to talk about. For those who thought the Madrid chef couldn’t get any more media-worthy, here’s a new headline: Muñoz’s own miniseries premieres on Netflix on Friday, December 20, four days before the holiday season officially begins.
Netflix announced the production of Univerxo Dabiz in 2023. The miniseries has 5 episodes and is the work of director Juanjo López, known for being one of the creators of Informe Robinson. In this new project by Welink Studios, López delves into the creative world of Muñoz to show the general public the day-to-day life of a professional chef.
In Univerxo Dabiz the viewer will discover the price of the eternal struggle for excellence that has led Muñoz to success: how he combines his work with family life, what the future holds for his projects, and many other unknowns related to the acclaimed chef. “We have a lot of overwhelming and extraordinary projects, unimaginable things that require us more than ever to be terribly creative and unique. And to make it perfect, it’s only good if it’s perfect,” explains the chef before the premiere of his series.
