It is often desirable to accompany long journeys on public transport with a soundtrack to make them a little more enjoyable. That’s why the most popular buses of EMT Madrid are hosting live concerts during European Mobility Week (SEM2024). The Gospel Factory choir kicked off the seven days of musical performances today with a presentation led by José Luis Martínez-Almeida, mayor of the capital.
Gospel Factory is one of the groups included in the 21 Districts cultural initiative, which takes the cultural life of Madrid to all its corners. The choir has been working for more than ten years with national artists such as Pablo Alborán, David Bisbal or Alejandro Sanz, and international artists such as Mariah Carey or Laura Pausini.
Scheduled touring concerts
The group has scheduled three concerts on bus lines very well connected with the city center: one on Wednesday September 18 on bus 34 (bound for Atocha) at 11:00 am; another on Thursday 19 on line 27 (ending at Cibeles) at 11:00 am, and finally on Friday 20 on bus 26 (departing from Princesa) at 00:00 am.
This is one of the many activities that the Madrid City Council has programmed to celebrate European Mobility Week. On Sunday 22 there will be a big fiesta between Atocha and Colón that will have initiatives designed to promote safety, road education, environmental sustainability and family sports.
