Going to see an exhibition at the Hexagons Pavilion as you would in a museum like El Prado: starting next March, this architectural jewel located in Casa de Campo will host the exhibition Oh, si os pudiera escuchar / Oh, If I Only Could Listen, the first one in Spain by young French artist Pol Taburet (Paris, 1997).
It will be next March 4 when it will open its doors to the public in this historic building signed by Jose Antonio Corrales and Ramon Vazquez Molezun -awarded with the Gold Medal at the Brussels Universal Exposition of 1958-, after the storm Herminia has forced to postpone its inauguration, initially scheduled for this Thursday.
This pioneering event, organized by the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Madrid Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Madrid City Council, will give the public the opportunity to see a unique set of pieces “representing magical creatures in constant transformation”.
What will the Hexagons Pavilion exhibition have?
The show, curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, will bring together more than 10 of paintings, plus drawings and sketches. In the artist’s own words, these pieces represent “characters in metamorphosis between the feminine, the masculine, the animal and the luminous, almost extraterrestrial.”
Oh, si os pudiera escuchar / Oh, If I Only Could Listen can be visited at Avenida de Portugal s/n (at the Casa de Campo Fairgrounds) until April 20, 2025 and admission is completely free.
