Some people collect tableware as if they were small souvenirs: pieces that, beyond their function, preserve stories, gestures and ways of looking at the table. Under this premise, Villa Capri has decided to open its universe of objects to the public for the first time. The Big Mamma group’s trattoria, located at Calle de Hortaleza 118, will host a special street market this weekend, on the 25th and 26th between 1 and 5 p.m., where you can purchase design elements with the character and aesthetics that have made the restaurant recognizable.
The initiative, in collaboration with the Kiki studio, proposes a different look at the Big Mamma universe, allowing visitors to discover and purchase original pieces that are usually part of the decorative landscape of its trattorias. From tableware to lighting elements, vases, trays, glasses or even furniture such as chairs and paintings, all the objects will be available at special prices ranging from 5 to 50 euros.
A recognizable aesthetic beyond the table

The experience goes beyond the purely commercial. Villa Capri is also known for its staging, which recreates the atmosphere of a seaside village in the 1970s. This imaginary, cultivated by the Big Mamma group in each of its restaurants, is part of the attraction that goes beyond the food.
The mercatino is, in that sense, a natural extension of the restaurant, a way of taking home fragments of that scenography that defines Villa Capri’s identity.
During the weekend of the event, Villa Capri will maintain its usual activity as a restaurant, allowing attendees to combine the visit with a meal or an aperitif in a setting that, for a few days, will also reveal the gears of its own interior design.
