The crowds and the usual overcrowding of Rastro Sundays will possibly result in rows of people at the doors of number 5 San Cayetano Street on the penultimate Sunday of September.
The Espacio Rastro (which has already hosted other events such as plant markets) will hold on September 22 the second edition of the Madrid Vegan Market, in what will be an event that will extol the creations of vegan producers and all kinds of workers around products of non-animal origin.
The project of this new type of market has its origin in a relatively simple idea: to help small vegan enterprises in the capital – thus offering them support and visibility.
An ephemeral event with surprises
The modality of this event (like that of others such as the Ephemeral bookstore) is that of a pop-up: that is, it is an event with a start date and an expiration date in this second edition. In other words: an unrepeatable event -at least in the way it will take place on this first occasion.
In this particular case, the event will be held on Sunday, September 22 from 10am to 4pm: just six hours to soak up veganism.
Last year was attended by neighbors, tourists, friends and families, and as already happened on that occasion the event put the focus on food, yes, but also on cosmetics, animal products, decorative objects, crafts, second-hand things … and also in talks and different surprises that have as their backbone the vegan lifestyle.
