The Bilbao traffic circle and Alonso Martínez square are connected by Sagasta street, a historic road full of stately buildings. Among them, the Torre-Almiranta Palace (also known as Sagasta 27), a 19th century building designed by Eduardo de Adaro. It was Viscount Carlos Jiménez y González Núñez who ordered its construction, to reside there along with other members of Madrid’s aristocracy.
More than 100 years after the inauguration of the palace, which went from an exclusive residence to an office space, Persepolis Investments will transform the building into a residential jewel in Chamberí with 15 luxury apartments. The project is expected to be completed in 2027.
Renovated apartments with more than 100 square meters of living space.
The project has the architectural direction of Touza Arquitectos and the design of Lázaro Rosa-Violán Studio. According to Julio Touza, in charge of the renovation, “the façade and other historical elements of the building need to be restored to guarantee their preservation and functionality. The improvement of these elements also seeks to meet modern needs (such as sustainable facilities), preventing the palace from becoming obsolete for its new residents.
The homes, ranging in size from 118 to 538 square meters – the largest of which can accommodate four bedrooms – are estimated to cost between two and eight million euros, making the palace one of the most exclusive residential complexes in the capital.
