Life is a bit reminiscent of a meme in which a person’s eyes are closed, they open and suddenly an eternity has passed. We were just pulling the quilt out of its cover and we’re already putting it back in. Two months ago we turned on the heat and next week (from May 15 until September 8) we will be able to go to the pools.
The Madrid City Council announced yesterday the news about the new swimming pool season in Madrid. A total of 28 will open this summer season (20 outdoors and 8 covered with solarium).
The mayor of the city has boasted that this will be the year in which more pools will be open with two major new features: the one in Tetuan and Barajas. The Orcasitas and Vicálvaro stations are also open after maintenance works. This will not be the case with the one in Arganzuela which will remain closed.
The other great novelty of this season is that the pre-Covid capacity is recovered and the pools will be able to accommodate up to 20% more people than last year.
Shifts and prices

Shifts are divided into three types: morning (from 10 am to 3 pm), afternoon (from 4 pm to 9 pm) and full day (from 10 am to 9 pm). And they can be purchased through the sports portal of the City Council (where 90% of the tickets are available) or at the box office, where you will find the remaining 10%.
