If the RAE accepted “mariscadear” as a verb, this weekend we could only conjugate it in Arganda del Rey. The Seafood Fair, organized by Feria Marisco Archy in collaboration with the City Council of Arganda del Rey, lands in the Plaza de la Constitución with a 250 square meter tent where you can enjoy the best of Galician gastronomy.
The kick-off will be on Thursday April 3 at 19:00 h with a hook hard to refuse: with each drink, attendees will receive a free tapa of mussels (only valid on Thursday, so it’s time to organize well). The rest of the weekend, the fair will be open from 12:00 noon to midnight.
What else can be found at the fair?
The menu will not lack the essential repertoire: octopus -the star dish-, oysters, spider crabs, prawns, shrimp, razor clams, squid, clams and cockles, all freshly brought and with adjusted prices.
More seafood in Madrid
The saying that Madrid has the best seafood in Spain sounds like a recurring joke, but there is some truth to it. In the capital there are temples of seafood that play in the first division: El Señor Martín, with Michelin star and Sol Repsol; El Pescador and O’Pazo, from the group Pescaderías Coruñesas, with first class product; or La Chalana, where you can enjoy a tribute without the wallet suffering too much. If you are looking for more options, we have prepared a list of our favorite seafood restaurants.
