Finding cafes to work in Madrid at ease and accompanied (but with enough tranquility to concentrate) is an extra task for those looking for an ideal workplace in the capital. In addition, it should be noted that is not allowed to telework on any cafeteria and that those in which they do, normally, put conditions of schedules, days and Zones.
1. Arce Sisters
The Arce Sisters, Elena and Ana, have achieved a balance between cafeteria and restaurant that is difficult to find. A Nordic touch, French spirit and Mediterranean cuisine where everything is made, from bread to cakes. You are allowed to work at all tables with a drink, although its communal table is more suitable if you go alone and you can also be inspired by the magazines in the center. They close at 5.30 pm and serve meals from 1.30 pm, so the best time to work is in the morning.
📍 Calle Marqués de Monasterio, 6 (Justicia)
👩💻 Tuesday through Saturday mornings.
2. Coffice
Coffice is a workplace without complexes. This cafeteria created by CEI Escuela de Diseño y Marketing is an ideal place to telecommute in Madrid. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner because sweet and savory are mixed in their menu. It is a great place to meet people and network.
📍 Calle Rodríguez San Pedro, 2 (Chamberí)
👩💻 Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 11:30 pm.
3. Mission Café
Mission Café is a specialty cafeteria which is common to see on Instagram because of the quality of their product and how aesthetically pleasing the space is. They have their own bakery, so there is always a good excuse to try their bread and buns. The zones for laptop use are the Stalls/Stands and the bar, where there are also outlets for charging computers.
📍 Calle de los Reyes, 5 (Noviciado)
👩💻 Monday through Thursday in specific zones of the cafeteria.
4. Magpie Coffee
This Zone of Angel’s Gate around the Tirso de Molina market, is undergoing a complete transformation. One of the establishments that has been part of the change is Urraca Café. A large space where there is enough distance between tables to be able to focus on what occupies us, and of course, a perfect place to have breakfast and snack in the meantime.
📍 Calle de Doña Urraca, 18 (Puerta del Angel)
👩💻 Every day.
5. Raw
En Bruto is a multidisciplinary space that combines cafeteria, bakery, cooking school, co-working, gastronomic and event space. There are both large tables where you can enjoy a coffee and snack while you focus on the project that has brought you here, as well as some low tables with armchairs in case you need a break between meetings.
📍 Calle de San Lucas, 13 (Chueca)
👩💻 Every day on specific laptop tables.
Whether it’s a coffee shop for studying or a place to telecommute away from home, these spaces have adapted to the circumstances and are now part of the landscape of meetings and reading hours for all those for whom the noise of a coffee pot or lively conversations are not a nuisance but an encouragement.
