Now that any self-respecting neighborhood can boast that it has among its locals at least one pottery (and with a waiting list to sign up) is a good time to talk about the cyclical nature of fashions. If it is possible to refer to ceramics (in terms of necessity) as a fashion.
To put it another way: just because it is fashionable, does not mean it is a fad. And that is something that endorses the fact that these days will be held the forty-second edition of the Feria de la Cacharrería, a regular of these dates in Madrid.
In the neighborhood of Conde Duque, the Comendadoras square (the one where the Almodóvar to film Parallel Mothers) will be the space where potters and ceramists will meet in an event organized by the Asociación Amigos Feria Cacharrería de Madrid.
Potters from all over Spain will gather in this square to promote and showcase their products in what will also be a way to show how pottery is put at the service of gastronomy. Participating workshops, in fact, will display a piece related to their Zone.
