It is not the most exquisite, but it is one of the most popular internationally: American food is part of our diet, even if only as a weekend treat. With hamburgers as its maximum exponent and the diner concept already surpassed, the curious thing about this gastronomy is that it has also served as a loudspeaker for others: Italian pizzas, Mexican nachos or Japanese sushi to give some examples. In Madrid, the restaurants that feed their menus with American dishes continue to be a success.
Burmet
The basics of American food and the “more is more” of gastronomy are summarized in Burmet: handmade burgers, ribs and low-temperature meats. Creativity is also part of their essence and every month they reinvent a burger. If you have any room left over after one of their main courses, you have to try their hearty chocolate cookies. Everything in a big way.

Madhattan
New York continues to be an inexhaustible source of inspiration, and Madhattan is living proof of this. The Roosevelt onion rings, pulled pork in all its forms, including hamburger and a brownie (white and original) of various heights will leave you at least satiated, and almost certainly happier.

Alright
Alright has earned a special place among Madrid’s American restaurants thanks to its iconic ribs cooked for 48 hours, until they fall apart in your mouth. Its menu combines the best of American tradition with Mediterranean touches, offering Tex-Mex dishes such as homemade chimichanga nachos with fresh guacamole and jalapeño croquettes. Burgers are also protagonists here, with options that include original sauces such as chipotle or mango-curry.
📍Location: Calle Pedro Rico, 41 (Barrio del Pilar) and Calle López de Hoyos, 8 (Prosperidad).
La Desayunería
Its name already gives you all the clues that here you will make your dreams of a hearty breakfast come true. And of course, this American-style brunch temple could not miss the pancakes in their different forms: with fruits, with chocolate and cream, with bacon or syrup… The list is so long that they could have a separate menu like the drinks and wines in a restaurant.
