Who doesn’t have a box of toys stored in the most hidden place in their home? The stuffed animal we used to sleep with, the doll we always took with us on vacation, that game we never asked for and ended up arriving at Christmas because it was fashionable? All this is part of our childhood, a vital stage of learning and development.
The time has come to dust off the toys we had stored away and give them a second life: the Valdebernardo Shopping Center (José Prat, 35) is hosting a market with free admission that, in addition to selling old toys, buys collectibles for those who are thinking of throwing them away or donating them.
On Saturday, March 29, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, the Madrid Toy Market will present a large selection of custom and collectible toys, including Playmobil figures, LEGO and action figures.
In addition, the Asociación Madrileña de Coleccionistas de Clicks will exhibit Oasis: a diorama composed of more than 500 custom Playmobil dolls, dressed as the British who entered Upper Egypt during the 19th century to connect South Africa with the Suez Canal.
How to sell the toys we no longer want on the market?
Those who want to sell their antique toys can go to any of the specialized stands at the fair for experts to do a free appraisal and valuation of the products. If they have value, they can be sold on the spot. A great opportunity to promote the circular economy, meet collectors and discover unique pieces.
