With the growth of tourism in Southeast Asian countries, their cuisines have become more widely known globally and Vietnamese restaurants have made a niche for themselves in Madrid. Pho soup, spring rolls and bun cha gio noodles are some of the dishes that have brought the flavors of Ho Chi Mihn to Spanish palates.
1. District 1
District 1 takes its name from one of the largest neighborhoods in Ho Chi Mihn City (also known as Saigon) where the chefs of this Vietnamese restaurant in Madrid grew up. The seafood rolls or nem hai san, or those wrapped in rice wafers or goi cuon, baos and curries complete a menu that reviews the typical dishes of the gastronomy of the capital of Vietnam.

2. Asian Army
Asian Army brings together dishes from Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam in a menu, in a place reminiscent of the canteens of Southeast Asia, but within the Antón Martín Market. Although its star dish is laksa, a noodle soup typical of Malaysia and Singapore, its Vietnamese skewers and fried Vietnamese rolls deserve a special mention among the starters.

3. B-Good Madrid
B-Good specializes in Vietnamese snacks and baos. For some people this is the only place in Madrid where they serve the real Vietnamese bánh mì , always loaded with vegetables and the typical pork, although there are other options, served in a long and spongy bread. They also prepare pho soups, bowls bun and mooncake, an Asian dessert served at autumn moon parties, as aesthetic as it is exquisite.

4. Vietnam Restaurant
This is the first Vietnamese restaurant in Madrid, and this does not imply that it has been open for so many years, in fact, it opened in 2013. Until then, the gastronomy of this Southeast Asian country could only be found in brushstrokes on the menus of other Asian restaurants.
In their long menu they have adapted some classic dishes to more recognizable flavors to the local palate, either by reducing spices and oils or by including local products such as the Iberian secret, without losing the essence of the local cuisine.

5. Tam Coco
Tam Coco is a restaurant of Lavapiés which takes its name from one of the most touristic Zones in the north of Vietnam. Their specialties are noodle no odles with egg and pork or chicken, long-grain and fried rice dishes, usually also accompanied by meat and egg, to add to the heartiness, as well as pho soup -competence of the japanese ramen.
