Matadero is a cultural mine of the city. In their monthly market they are committed to the sale of local and organic products and food. In the Matadero square there are about 70 exhibitors where you can buy fruit, vegetables, meat from the Sierra del Guadarrama, sourdough bread, oil, jams and pastries, among others. For all those who are unable or do not want to go to the Rastro on Sunday because of the number of people, the Plaza del Campillo is the option for Tuesdays and Saturdays, smaller but very close to the original. With more than 52 stalls, this market is gaining strength and increasingly concentrates more vendors and visitors. You’ll find second-hand items and clothing and all kinds of flea market junk.

5. Planetary Producers’ Market
The Producers Market was held since 2014 in Matadero, but since 2022 it takes place in the Planetario area and also in Alcobendas. The concept remains the same: to bring products from the Community of Madrid to the city center. In other words, to make local foods known to a public that is increasingly eager for responsible consumption, even when it comes to staple products. In their new enclave they already have 36 stalls of artisans and sustainable farmers.

The Frog Market of the Barrio de las Letras is focused on design and has 55 stalls of clothing, accessories, art, decoration, gastronomy, jewelry, jewelry and natural cosmetics.
